Sabbatical: Day One

waves of body of water splashing on sand

So, I’m minutes (in terms of how long I’ve been awake) into my sabbatical. Needless to say, I’ve not done much so far.

I got back from a team meetup yesterday, tired and spending most of my time unpacking and catching up with family.

But what are my immediate plans?

To be honest, not much. It’s mainly planning.

My sabbatical has started during the school’s half term so knuckling down and getting into a private regime is something that can wait until next week. This week is about laying some plans – finding a gym, investigate some courses (if you remember, I want to learn to play drums and use my camera), that kind of thing,. And, naturally, there are family plans for half term – plans that I’m normally excluded from as I’m working.

In the meantime, enjoy my favourite photo from the team meetup last week…
