For a few weeks now I’ve been aware of an issue with my Puma’s windscreen washer. On the passenger side, little of the spray is reaching the windscreen. The driver side is fine.
What could be causing this and was this something I could do myself?

Back in 2020, I bought a Ford Puma, not long after Ford had released it. Now, 2 years later, I have the newest edition.
Each time I’ve bought the highest specified model that I could but that has shifts in the last 2 years – e.g. the Vignale range for the Puma has been released, improving on the ST-Line X, which I had before.
But I thought, where I could unpick it, try and identify what’s changed in the intervening years, which doesn’t appear to be down to the model changes. I can’t guarantee all of this will be accurate, as a result, but I’ll give it a good try.
So, what have Ford changed on the Ford Puma?

If you have a rear dashcam fitted to your Ford car then they seem prone, particularly on the new Puma’s, to causing interference with the DAB reception. In the case of the Puma, this is because of the location of the DAB antenna.
I had my dashcam fitted by Halfords who did a great job but the interference was terrible, making digital radio pretty much unusable. I took it back a couple of times and, each time, they got it a little better. But I was still unhappy so took things into my own hands and did some experimenting. As a result I’ve got it better still – not perfect, but better.

The new Ford Puma has a rich variety of ways in which you can connect the car up to the outside world, in terms of internet connectivity. Whether it’s via Bluetooth or WiFi to your phone, the car’s in-build data connection or a physical connection to your own device, each has its own peculiarities. And, unfortunately, Ford’s manual is pretty dire.
So, I decided to work it all out and it reveals some interesting information!

I’ve had my brand-new Puma for just 6 days now, so it’s time for me to spill my initial thoughts on ownership. The good, bad and ugly.
Okay, nothing ugly. If I’d bought a car with that level of issues, I clearly hadn’t done my homework first…
