    What’s on my desk? 2025 edition!

    For a number of years now, I’ve shared my desk set-up to the world. As I work from home, my office is both practical but cosy and personal. In an office, you may be limited to personal possessions (in fact, at my previous employer, they made you clear your desk at the end of each day into a locker) and, although I try and keep clutter down, I still want to have everything to hand.

    The room is compact, but that’s more than enough to get me and everything I need inside. However, that means I had to opt for a deep, rather than wider, desk. This is what it looks like…

    What’s on my desk? 2024 edition!

    For some reason I didn’t do one of these last year, despite me taking some time to give my home office a bit of an overhaul. So, time to share my current home office set-up to the world. Whether it’s of use to anyone I don’t know, but it may give someone some inspiration.

    And, yes, I’ve gone for a moody night shot, but only to demonstrate the lighting that I have in place.

    What’s on my desk? 2022 edition!

    A year later and more desk changes! I took the opportunity of my sabbatical this year to move things around, particularly on the walls, whilst also removing a number of things from the desk itself. Add to that some new tech and it’s a different workspace for 2022.

    What’s on my desk? 2021 second edition!

    It’s only been 4 months since I last did this, but so much has changed since it seemed appropriate to repeat the exercise.

    I’ve been working from home now for over 4.5 years now and this is my most spartan set-up yet, but also my tidiest, in terms of cable management.

    What’s on my desk? 2021 edition

    Every year I normally write a “what’s in my bag” article to promote those things that I use most when travelling for work. Who’d have thought so much would change so quickly.

    Although I managed to squeeze one out last year, I think I’ll be pushing to try again now. So, revisiting an idea from 2017, this year I’m publishing details about all the tech (and some non-tech) that keeps me entertained when working from home (which is something a lot of people have had to get newly used to this last year).
