    Team Meetup in Porto

You can have too much of a good thing and, as much as I love Lisbon, I can’t keep just travelling there. There’s so many more places in the world after all! Regardless, Portugal is a great place so for my team meeting this year we decided to head to Porto, a city I’ve not visited before.

As we did the previous year, we decided on a combination of an Airbnb and a hotel, to allow for people with preferences of one or another.

  • Facebook Marketplace. Just… why?

    Facebook Marketplace. Just… why?

I’ve tried selling on FB Marketplace in the past and had endless issues. Mainly people just wasting my time, particularly asking me to deliver when I make it clear that the item is pick-up only. Or just people asking me “is this available” when the Marketplace page clearly shows it is. Then they never respond again after I confirm that it is.

Anyway, at the weekend, a friend suggested I get back into it, as I have some things to sell, and she never has such problems. Maybe I had a bad break before and it’s time to try again?

  • Why I can’t sell a PlayStation 4

    Why I can’t sell a PlayStation 4

Unlike my PlayStation 3, I bought my PlayStation 4 when it was first released and it served me well. However, with the release of the PlayStation 5 I decided to upgrade.. to a PlayStation 4 Pro (I had too much left to play on my PS4 to be able to justify paying for a PS5).

For whatever reason, I didn’t do anything with my original console, but dug it out the other day, gave it a clean, checked everything worked and, today, headed for my local CeX to sell it. But they wouldn’t accept it. They pointed me to a local pawnbroker, so I took it there. They wouldn’t have it either.

  • The mess that is sainsburys.co.uk (updated July 2026)

The mess that is sainsburys.co.uk (updated July 2026)

I shop weekly with Sainsbury’s. Specifically, I get a grocery delivery sent to home. But, I have to say, the experience is incredibly painful, due to how poor their website is. In this post, I’m going to demonstrate a few things about it, giving details of what the frustration is. It will show bad UI, performance and bugs.

I originally wrote this in early 2024 and, I’m happy to say, some of the issues have been resolved. Some haven’t, though, and some new ones have turned up. So this post has been given a fresh update, as of July 2026.

I’ll be using Safari but can confirm that the same problems occur in Chrome too.
