One of the reasons why I put my footnotes plugin up for adoption is because the block editor now has basic footnotes built into it. I moved all of my footnotes over to this, disabled my plugin and haven’t looked back since.
So, let me explain how you do it.

You can have too much of a good thing and, as much as I love Lisbon, I can’t keep just travelling there. There’s so many more places in the world after all! Regardless, Portugal is a great place so for my team meeting this year we decided to head to Porto, a city I’ve not visited before.
As we did the previous year, we decided on a combination of an Airbnb and a hotel, to allow for people with preferences of one or another.

I love reading Mika Epstein’s stories about her dealings with plugin developers, but never thought I’d be writing something similar myself. And, like Mika, I’m going to keep this anonymous, albeit you’d probably be able to find the details with a little digging
First, let’s rewind. Back in November I some of my plugins up for adoption. Soon after, a developer approached me wanting to take one of them on. His credentials were good and he seemed appreciative of the opportunity to take the code over.
I switched things over to him and, all done, I walked away, happy to have given him the proverbial keys. In this case, ownership of the SVN report on wordpress.org as well as transferring my Github repo to him. The latter of which included a reasonably sized issues log of requested enhancements, as well as bug fixes.
But, a couple of months later, it turned oddly sour.

I’ve tried selling on FB Marketplace in the past and had endless issues. Mainly people just wasting my time, particularly asking me to deliver when I make it clear that the item is pick-up only. Or just people asking me “is this available” when the Marketplace page clearly shows it is. Then they never respond again after I confirm that it is.
Anyway, at the weekend, a friend suggested I get back into it, as I have some things to sell, and she never has such problems. Maybe I had a bad break before and it’s time to try again?
