Add some techno-babble to your WordPress experience

Have you ever wondered what a “microscopic anaphasic gravity intake” is? What about “unicobalt particle chamber”?

No, me neither.

But you too can now marvel at a piece of randomly generated Star Trek-style techno-babble right in your WordPress admin.

But, first, some history.

My first job, in 1989, was as a mainframe developer (sorry, “computer programmer”) and I ended up writing (unofficially) a fun piece of code that randomly generated techno-babble. Where I got the various phrases from, I don’t know – that’s been lost in the mists of time.

I’ve written it in various computer languages since and, in 2013, I published a WordPress plugin version of it to wordpress.org named “Hello Babble”. I closed it in 2018 but evidence of its existence still remains.

Now, I’ve dug it out, dusted it down, renamed it and dragged it right up to date with the latest WordPress standards. No, I’m going to inflict it on the WordPress directory again, but I have published it on Github.
