    Review: ESR Geo Wallet Stand

There are plenty of Magsafe compatible holders for the iPhone, where you snap something onto the back of the phone to hold a few of your credit and debit cards. However, ESR have decided to take the opportunity to differentiate their product on the market by adding in extra features.

In this case, they’ve added 4 extras – RFID protection for the cards, a stand, a holder and built-in Find My.

Is your Apple AirTag facing the right way?

With the release of the second generation of Apple AirTag it got me thinking about how we use them and how they’re built.

As an example, here’s a screenshot of wallets that have an AirTag pocket on the front of them. What do you notice about the AirTags?

They all show the metal side facing out. The reverse side, white plastic, is the part that you can have engraved.

EA customer service don’t know what they’re talking about

So, I thought I’d rent my own server.

My Personal Best & Worse Customer Service of 2025

If you didn’t know already, I work in customer service and have done for over 30 years. So, it’s important to me and I understand when something is badly wrong.

So, to wrap up 2025 I’m going to mention the companies that I’ve had the pleasure or displeasure of dealing with in my personal life (and nothing to do with work).

    Returning to core contributing

With the release of WordPress 6.9, I’m finally returning to the contributing to core. The last time was WordPress 6.5 (I’m genuinely not sure what I did for that one – it certainly wasn’t code related!) and, previous to that, 5.8, which was over 4 years ago.

And this contribution has been quite the journey.
