    Facebook Marketplace. Just… why?

    I’ve tried selling on FB Marketplace in the past and had endless issues. Mainly people just wasting my time, particularly asking me to deliver when I make it clear that the item is pick-up only. Or just people asking me “is this available” when the Marketplace page clearly shows it is. Then they never respond again after I confirm that it is.

    Anyway, at the weekend, a friend suggested I get back into it, as I have some things to sell, and she never has such problems. Maybe I had a bad break before and it’s time to try again?

    Using SVG icons with your WordPress plugins

    When adding a plugin to wordpress.org, you have the ability to provide icons for it. There are 2 sizes, to take into account retina screens – 128×128 pixels and 256×256 pixels. However, I’ve recently noticed that they also allow an SVG icon as well – if you specify that, it will be used in preference to the other.

    For years I’ve been making use of very talented designers on Fiverr to make the icons for my plugins but never thought to ask them for SVG files, only PNG. But, as is often the case these days, AI was the answer.

    Why I can’t sell a PlayStation 4

    Unlike my PlayStation 3, I bought my PlayStation 4 when it was first released and it served me well. However, with the release of the PlayStation 5 I decided to upgrade.. to a PlayStation 4 Pro (I had too much left to play on my PS4 to be able to justify paying for a PS5).

    For whatever reason, I didn’t do anything with my original console, but dug it out the other day, gave it a clean, checked everything worked and, today, headed for my local CeX to sell it. But they wouldn’t accept it. They pointed me to a local pawnbroker, so I took it there. They wouldn’t have it either.

    What’s on my desk? 2024 edition!

    For some reason I didn’t do one of these last year, despite me taking some time to give my home office a bit of an overhaul. So, time to share my current home office set-up to the world. Whether it’s of use to anyone I don’t know, but it may give someone some inspiration.

    And, yes, I’ve gone for a moody night shot, but only to demonstrate the lighting that I have in place.
