    How many times have I read on one forum or another about people wanting to secure their website and are resorting to one extreme measure or another. In the case of WordPress, it’s either a complete security plugin or renaming their admin login screen (in both cases: please don’t)?

    Yet, the best, simple solution is rarely first on the list – add 2FA and enforce it.

    I shop weekly with Sainsbury’s. Specifically, I get a grocery delivery sent to home. But, I have to say, the experience is incredibly painful, due to how poor their website is. In this post, I’m going to demonstrate a few things about it, giving details of what the frustration is. It will show bad UI, performance and bugs.

    I’ll be using Google Chrome because the experience on Safari is even worse (performance-wise anyway – everything else is just the same).

  • 40th Anniversaries

    40th Anniversaries

    On 11th January, it’s Matt Mullenweg’s 40th birthday. He’s the co-founder of WordPress and CEO of Automattic, the company I work for.

    It’s nearly 13 years since I hit 40 and, despite a lot of content on this blog, you’ll find no mention of it. The reason? It was pretty uneventful. We had an open party at my house, with people coming and going throughout the day but it’s not as if I felt any different.

    Fixing a noisy PlayStation 4 Pro: 14 months on

    In October 2022 I did a massive clean and made improvements to the thermal capability of my PS4 Pro – the result was something that was much, much quieter.

    I haven’t gamed much this year but playing Fortnite recently has been making the Pro run loudly again. For this reason, it’s time to open it up again and see what’s going on.
