Honest advertising?

I’m constantly surprised by how honest some UK advertisers are being, without the general public realising what they’re saying.

Take BT. They will charge you EXTRA to have a broadband backup service, referring to when your internet goes down as a “broadband nightmares”. It’s YOUR PRODUCT.

“A home network you can count on”, but only if you have backup, is what they’re saying here.

There are plenty of others, including mobile network O2 (which was once part of BT) virtue signalling about helping charities who assist people who can’t afford their mobile bills.

In the case of BT, they are admitting their low quality product and getting you – the customer – to pay more for a fix to it. And then stating as much in their advertising.

What is wrong with people?
