David Artiss #1 is fictional. But, no, not in my head. He appeared in an episode of CSI (the Las Vegas original. Naturally) as a drugged-up suspect to a murder (what else). The episode was named Random Acts of Violence (Series 3, Episode 13) and the script can be read here.
It’s possible that the use of the name is a “tip of the hat” to another of my name-sakes. But, that’s a different story….
