Do Sony Do Anything About Abusive PSN Messages? (NSFW)

Yesterday I was playing Overwatch, which I’m relatively new to. Not only that but I was trying out a different character which I had little experience with. Combine both of these, the former reflected in the fact that I’m only rank 12, and, yeah, I’m not a brilliant player. But I’m not THAT bad.

Someone though thought differently as I was suddenly sent a message on my PS4.

Pretty extreme, all things considered. I thought about sending him a mocking response (if they’re aged more than 10 I’ll be surprised) but instead reported them to Sony – you can do this by highlighting messages, pressing Options or, in my case, I did it via the PSN Messaging mobile app.

Today I received a response from Sony…

And, sure enough, checking the original message now shows this…

So, there you have it – do Sony do anything about reported abuse? Yes. Whether it stops the person in question is a different matter!
