We all experience it, whether good or bad. I write mine up, particularly if some shaming or congratulating is required!

  • A dodgy damp fix

    A dodgy damp fix

Our main bedroom has a bay window and, mainly during the winter, mould grows on the interior wall. There’s some separation of the skirting boards from the wall and there are cracks in the wall – basically signs that damp is getting into the wall, possibly from the small flat roof about it.

So, I decided to get somebody in to check it and, hopefully, cure it. What happened was rather unexpected.

Amazon “fall short” once again with their customer service

So, on Tuesday, the 9-disc Blu-Ray set of the first 6 Star Wars films dropped in price to just £40 on Amazon. I’d been waiting a while for this so immediately ordered it – I rarely upgrade my DVDs to Blu-Ray but, in the case of Star Wars, I’m happy to make an exception.

Pulling the rug from under your free users is NOT the way to get them to upgrade to premium!

    Isn’t that right TickTick?

The time management company have recently, unannounced, decided to restrict their free users to just a handful of lists, whilst adding constant nags to upgrade to their premium service, and filling screen real-estate with options that don’t work for free users. Oh, and top it all off – they’ve raised the price of their premium service.

Is this really the way to do this? A communication to explain the changes should have been the least that way done, maybe with some discount for those upgrading, as a good will gesture. Or even, given us a short time to upgrade before the price rise was due – that would have been good.

Between Amazon and the Post Office I have NO idea where my parcels are!

Recently I’ve needed to order a number of items from Amazon. However, between them and the Post Office receiving them has been made rather difficult.
